Case Study
To ensure a more stable and resilient electricity grid, E-GAP has developed the Hub Plus, an advanced energy storage and distribution system. Thanks to its ability to optimise the management of energy flows, Hub Plus supports the charging of
electric vehicles and balances supply and demand, reducing pressure on the grid. The first system, already operational in Buccinasco, opens the way to new solutions for the energy transition.
E-GAP is the promoter of Italy’s first Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) project for local public transport, which envisages the
commissioning of more than 250 electric buses for the city of Rome. The project involves the operators SAP, BIS and Tuscia,
active in the strategic areas of Roma Est and Roma Ovest. It is a turnkey solution that includes the supply of the electric
vehicles, installation of the charging infrastructure, maintenance and intelligent fleet management, all without requiring any
upfront investment from the operators, thus lowering the economic barriers to energy transition
