FAQ & E-GAP Assistance

Recharge: how it works

E-GAP is the first urban, mobile and on-demand fast-recharge service
The customer can book the recharge through the App for the chosen time slot, in the chosen location without having to be present, and it is possible to follow in real time the advancement of the requested recharge. Our E-GAP van reaches the customer’s vehicle and delivers the requested recharge, in direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) in full compatibility with the specific connectors of each vehicle. In order to maximize the recharge service, the process ends at the delivery of kWh required or at the achievement of the maximum charging time set for the chosen service. Once the maximum charging time required (Small, Medium, Large) has been reached, even if the kWh required have not been fully provided, or once the maximum kWh required for that duration has been reached, the service will end. At the end of the recharging process, the system charges the credit card with the cost of the service requested.

Emergency recharge: how it works

The so-called “emergency” recharge is an emergency service. It is a service intended for all users of electric vehicles who are left without residual autonomy (flat battery) or are outside the covered area near the area served by E-GAP. Clicking on the appropriate icon of our App, or calling our Customer Service, the customer can request the intervention of one of E-GAP vans.

Payment: how it works

At the time of booking, the customer selects the amount of the recharge and a pre-authorization for the payment is initiated. At the end of the recharge service, the system charges the cost of the requested service to the payment method chosen by the customer.

Which cars are served

E-GAP vans allow for AC (alternating current) recharging to vehicles equipped with one of the following connectors: Type1, Type2, Type3A, Type 3C. There are two standards for charging electric vehicles in direct current (DC) (Mode 4): CHAdeMO and CCS COMBO2. Please refer to your vehicle documentation for the charging modes supported by your vehicle.

Covered Areas

The E-GAP service is present in the urban area of main cities. At the time of booking, the area served will be highlighted.

What happens if I am in an area that is not covered

Outside the service area, we will not be able to offer our services. We can accept requests outside of the covered areas near the E-GAP service area for emergency recharge services only.
